The software employed for the analysis and management of this project consisted primarily of ESRI products v9.2 and higher. Data browsers/viwers are encouraged to use ESRI's ArcReader 9.x to have access to basic GIS software functionality. By using ArcReader users will be able to view data locally by employing perviously published ArcMap documents (pmf documents )containing all data related to the project. A File Geodatabase is also included to enable future expansion and addition to the data contained in it. Users are encouraged to use ESRI's ArcExplorer 9.x to have access to the data contained in the File Geodatabase. ArcExplorer allows users to load local data as well as connect to free ESRI-Hosted data (including satellite images, worldwide streets , political maps and physiography). Among other functionality ArcExplorer allows users to perform basic GIS analysis (visibility, direction finding and proximity search). Finally the use of interactive maps was made possible by incorporating Google Maps API code. By incorporating this type of service SRB was able to deliver simple and user friendly maps to display the information derived from our analysis. For more information visit Google Maps API Code.
