Cano Palma Station was founded by, and is supported by the
Canadian Organization For Tropical Education and Rainforest Conservation (COTERC) in 1991.

Our mission is to provide leadership in education, research, conservation, and the educated use of natural resources in the tropics.

COTERC's Board of Directors are  based in the Greater Toronto Ares.

In Canada, our Board members are biologists, accountants, educators, environmentalists, zoo professionals, media professionals — all committed and working actively to protect tropical rainforests.

If you've been to the station and want to keep connected to its mission, and live in the Toronto area, why not consider joining our team as a volunteer or board member.  Email Kym Snarr for more information at chair@coterc.org .
